If you are starting your course in January 2025, here are the key dates for your calendar:
Activity | Date |
---|---|
Condition Meeting Deadline* | Sunday 1st December 2024 |
Pre-enrolment opens (online) | Monday 9 December 2024 |
Enrolment and ID card collection | From 6 January 2025 |

* This is the last date for applicants to meet offer conditions in order for your CAS to be issued. Any applications with conditions outstanding by this date, will be automatically deferred to the next intake.
To be in time to start your course, you should arrive at the University by Monday 6 January 2025 to allow time to settle in and be ready for when teaching starts.
Once you receive your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), you need to apply for your student visa.
When your visa has been granted, you must create a UKVI account to apply for a share code and travel to the UK within 90 days. Full information, advice and support is available on our University immigration web pages or contact the team directly for further information.
You must arrange your accommodation before travelling to the UK. Huddersfield has great housing options for students; book with our recommended and approved accommodation providers.
We strongly advise choosing accommodation in the Huddersfield area but if you choose to live outside of the town, ensure it is no more than one-hour public transport commute from the University.
Connect with our Immigration and Compliance team for support with your visa application.

Once you have received your unconditional offer from the University, you will receive three emails from enrolment@hud.ac.uk, from Monday 9 December 2024 asking you to begin the enrolment process. These will be titled Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3. Please make sure you have access to the email account attached to your application.
The three stages:
Stage 1: Online pre-enrolment; you will need to log into 'MyHud' and will be asked to confirm your personal details on our online pre-enrolment portal, including your UK accommodation address and your UK phone number and to upload your photograph for your new student card.
Stage 2: Once you have completed your pre-enrolment you will be sent an email called stage 2 for when you arrive in the UK. This will ask you to book an appointment time to collect your student ID card from the International Office in the Student Central building, behind the iPoint reception desk from Monday to Friday between 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. You must bring your passport, evisa or share code, boarding pass or proof of entry to the UK and visa decision letter, as well as proof of your local address to the University. It is very important that you visit us upon receiving our stage 2 email to avoid any delays in your enrolment.
Stage 3: This email will confirm your enrolment has been completed and provide you with useful information on how to begin your studies and life in Huddersfield.
